As part of our ongoing  Sprint Bus Scheme with Transport for West Midlands,  Doocey Group carried out extensive underground multi utility diversion works on many of the new bus stop locations. This was completed in preparation for the new foundations that include water, gas, BT, Virgin Media and electricity main supplies completed with no disruption to customer supplies.

Following diversion works West Midlands Combined Authority called on Dooceys Civils services to trial construction of a new bus stop foundation. Our civils work was a complete success and WMCA awarded several new bus stops to our contract, this included the 18 new locations where works included the sub structure, drainage, electricity, communication supplies, new kerbing, paving, tarmac and turfing for the new improved bus stops. Our teams also successfully completed the required 278 improvements to the existing footways and carriageways to accommodate the new bus stops.

All works were successfully completed ahead of programme with no disruption to the existing road network in advance of 2022’s Commonwealth Games.
