Project Update

Doocey Group are currently undertaking a 11Kv project on behalf of our longstanding client National Grid Electric Distribution at the scenic location of Ilfracombe in Devon.

The project at tender stage was presented to Doocey Group by our client to possess a number of challenging obstacles that our expertise, experience and initiative operational approaches were key to the successful awarding of the project.

Within the Ilfracombe project the most challenging task was the project start date and the key date for delivery of which would see a challenging environment to be overcome during the British winter. Extensive pre-mobilisation planning needed to be implemented by the project management team.

The project is currently in the operational stage which has currently seen two water course crossings and 1.2Km of agricultural land negotiated with 11KV cables installed with minimal effect to landowners and environmental impacts.

Doocey Group are excited to continue with the project over the coming months with the expectation to reach project completion and energisation ahead of contractual programme.
