Our first cohort of Multi Utility Apprentices started their Level 2 Highway Maintenance in September 2022. 15 months later they have graduated and now all 14 are employed full time by Doocey Group.
These graduate apprentices have gained additional industry qualifications and are deployed with experienced team members, working as number 2’s across all of our workstreams including water, electric and multi utilities. They are truly making a difference to our business but more importantly their own lives.
Our Multi Utilities Pre-Apprenticeship Programme appeals to many young people as we have no barriers to entry so for people who find the academic classroom challenging potentially due to dyslexia, dyslexic traits or ADHD. They seem to find their niche practically in an outdoor environment.
